Chutlo Rider Privacy Policy
For delivery riders using the Chutlo Rider app
Introduction
This policy explains what the Chutlo Rider app collects, why, and how it's used when you make deliveries on the Chutlo platform. It applies specifically to delivery rider accounts, in addition to Chutlo's general Privacy Policy, which covers our website and customer app.
Information We Collect
Account & Verification
Your phone number, used to sign in via SMS OTP and to receive delivery notifications. Your driving license number and vehicle details (vehicle type and registration number), submitted to verify you're eligible to make deliveries on Chutlo.
Location
Your device's GPS location while you're online and available for deliveries, and continuously while you have an active delivery in progress. We use this to match you with nearby orders, calculate delivery routes and distances, and let customers and shops track your delivery in real time. Location is not collected when you're offline or logged out of the app.
Delivery & Performance Data
Records of your completed deliveries, customer ratings, earnings, tips, and working hours. This is used to calculate your payouts — settled with your franchise — and to show your delivery performance and history within the app.
Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications when a new delivery is available or assigned to you, so you can respond quickly.
How We Protect Your Information
Your location and delivery data are used only to operate the platform — matching you with orders, calculating routes, and showing your live position to the customer and shop for the delivery you're currently handling. We are not in the business of selling your data to others.
Your live location during an active delivery is shared with the customer and shop for that specific order only. We disclose account information when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Chutlo, our users, or others.
Why We Need Your Location
Delivery is the core function of this app — we cannot match you with nearby orders, calculate accurate routes, or let a customer know their food or package is on its way without your location. We only request it while you're marked available or actively delivering; you can go offline at any time to stop location collection.
Your Choices
You can disable push notifications at any time from your device settings, and stop location collection at any time by going offline. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact our support team — we'll retain only what's required for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes after account closure.
This policy is specific to the Chutlo Rider app. Chutlo's customers and shop partners are covered by our general Privacy Policy and Partner Privacy Policy respectively.
